The Hair of the Generation X Woman

One extremely popular style is the Friends hair cut. The term "Friends Haircut" refers to the long layered, bodified hairstyle of Rachel, one of the most popular characters on the t.v. show Friends. The style is so prevalent that a friend of ours, Joy, was adamently told by her hairstylist in a classy Houston salon that he would NOT do another "Rachel haircut."

Generation Xers aren't afraid of outrageous colors. Manic Panic dye assures Gen Xers that their hairstyles won't go unnoticed.

Short pixie cuts with bleached ends are also popular among the young generation. Tousled, carefree styles fit with our lifestyle.

We aren't afraid to adorn our heads with clips, beads, or streaks in order to express our freedom as individuals.

This British (yea! like me--Kim) band, Spice Girls illustrate a variety of flavorful dos. They also show us that American (right on!--Erin!!) Xer styles are comparable to those half way across the world.
